Miss Amanda has been teaching dance since the young age of 16. After graduating from college and receiving her business degree, she returned to Lindsay to run her old dance studio. After 2 years she decided to purchase the studio and SDP was born! Miss Amanda has been the proud owner and artistic director of SDP since 2011. Her most current achievment was winning the Diamond Award (Top studio in the Kawartha Lakes), Top Part-time dance studio at Xtreme Dance, and Top Choreography Award for her Lyrical Piece "Fix You". Since starting her own studio she has receievd her certification with Performing Arts Educators of Canada, and Acrobatic Arts.

Natalie Amodeo

Hip Hop Instructor


Miss Natalie has grown up at Spotlight Dance Productions and found her passion for the Hip Hop style when she became an adolescent. She taught her first class at the age of 14 and hasn’t stopped since. As Well as teaching the competitive hip hop team at Spotlight Dance Productions, she also teaches classes at the local high schools in the Kawartha Lakes area. Natalie’s choreography has won many scholarships over the years including: Be Discovered- Summer in LA, Broadway Bound! NYC Summer Intensive, full and partial scholarships to FRESH Dance Intensives and many choreography and top mark awards. Her passion for the hip hop style creates a fun and exciting atmosphere each class. Including her knowledge in urban styles such as house dance, krump and breaking, she has also been apart of Ayame-Kai, a Japanese dance group based in North York at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre since the age of 3. Natalie regularly attends drop in classes throughout the GTA to keep her choreography fresh and innovative. She has danced at many events in the Kawartha Lakes as well as having danced and choreographed for Toronto based Haute Agency. Natalie is beyond excited to see what the 2018-19 dance season brings!

Miss Mallory


Mallory Hodgson grew up competitively dancing in Lindsay Ontario. There she practiced Acro, Hiphop Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary/Lyrical. At 18 years of age Mallory moved to Toronto in order to pursue her passion of becoming a professional dance artist. In 2013 Mallory began training at George Brown College In their Dance Performance Prep and, Dance Performance Studies Programs at George Brown College. Here Mallory was able to hone in on her technical skills by training every day in Modern dance technique and Ballet alongside Canada’s Ballet Jorgen. She continued her commercial dance training with OIP Dance Company a pre-professional training program. While Mallory was attending George Brown College she was also dancing professionally in Toronto. In 2015 Mallory Performed at Nathan Phillip Square for ‘Panamania’ The Pan Am Games Celebrations. In 2016 Mallory Became a Cheerleader for the Toronto Argonauts and the Canadian Football League. Being a part of ‘Argos Cheer’ allowed Mallory to perform with artists, Alessia Cara, One Republic and Son Real and even experience a Grey Cup win in 2017. During this time Mallory was also working as a Freelance dance artist for Companies including MAC Cosmetics, Scotia Bank, Swatch and Clinique. In 2018 after five years of dancing professionally in Toronto, Mallory moved to Fenelon Falls to begin her teaching career. Mallory is currently teaching recreational and competitive dance to students age 4 to 17.

Miss Becky

C.D.T.A.


Miss Becky is excited to be teaching Ballet at Spotlight Dance Productions. She has been teaching for almost twenty years in a variety of dance disciplines. She has received her full Jazz teacher’s certificate through C.D.T.A and has spent most of the last decade really focusing on Ballet. Miss Becky has studied and taught Ballet alongside the C.D.T.A., R.A.D., and Society of Russian Ballet syllabuses across Ontario. Her accomplishments include many choreography awards, including a first place finish at nationals for a ballet piece, along with many dance scholarships. Miss Becky has also had students go on to study ballet at the Canada’s National Ballet School, The School of Alberta Ballet and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Miss Becky also works full time with children with exceptionalities as a behavioural therapist and has two young children at home. “If you dance with your heart, your body will follow”- Mia Michaels.
